Sinead O'Connor / it was pretty obvious as Sinead got older and went through all sorts of machinations and incantations that she was deeply troubled and traumatized starting in early childhood and that music was her survival mechanism and also her abuser too and celebrity is a mental illness and should be listed in the DSM bible of diagnosis and symptoms / Sinead, like many great artist, scientist, thinkers, puzzler's, they are driven by something intense that goes way beyond the superficiality of the spectators in life who use labels like "genius or talent" / you can't do great things without great depth defying leaps and feats that challenge the status quo and the imagination / Sinead like so many great "Puzzler's" had painful experience of growing up in a dysfunctional society with dysfunctional parents and subject to challenging external and internal abuse too / in addition to being overwhelmed by everything else / including being in and out of mental hospitals for 6 years trying to keep out of harms way too / mental illness is not an illness alone it's a gift and a curse, it's an issue that needs to be better understood and also that nobody escapes - in the end, we are all too sensitive for our own good / food for thought
